- Here's an interesting case of an individual who on most census (and many other) records is listed as born in Missouri, yet he has a delayed Iowa birth record. As early as 1900 he was listed as born in Missouri. At late as 1942 he was also listed as born in Missouri, but in 1943 a delayed Iowa birth record was filed. So why and to what purpose?
