Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 856, simply labels Samuel "d.s.p" without giving a death date or indicating if he married or not. There is a baptism of a Samuel Mason in Boston in 1689 to Jno & Sarah Mason, so one would presume that is the one who m. Boston 1711 "Abigal Jent", who as a widow, shared in the estate of her father Thomas Gent of Boston in 1728. Since this appears ruled out, it appears Bond's assumption about Samuel's death is based on him not being included in the division of the father's estate by deed, as mentioned on the father's page.
