2010-other researchers-parents James Hale; Mary Shepherd; d 1907; attached to my "notes" from Yvonne Clark (yvonneclark550@msn.com): Yes they [Jane Allen and Paulina Allen] are sisters. From info given to me by my relatives, who are direct decesendents of Paulina "Pline" it looks like Paulina was working and having Samuel's children right along with Jane. They eventually had seven children together. Very confusing!
