    "4 Samuel2 Gary (Arthur1) was born in Roxbury, Mass., Sept. 22, 1638. He was admitted a Freeman of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, April 29, 1668. He was one of the signers of the Censure against the training of youths at Harvard College in 1672 (N. E. Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 35, Page 122.) He was a soldier in King Philip's War in October 1675, being a member of Capt. Thomas Brattle's company. He served on the inquest on the death of Samuel Peacock, July 1694 and was a Grand Juror in April 1695. (Superior Court Files, Suffolk County.) … Samuel Gary died in Roxbury, Oct. 12, 1715 … No issue."
