The text, Descendants of Robert Brownfield, by Royce Miller Hunt [2] has him born in 1832, but 1822 makes more sense, and Wilene had an actual birth date, whereas this text doesn't. 1843 February 12, AMY R. JONES md. SAMUEL BROWNFIELD, Champaign Co., IL. ca. 1846, according to the 1880 census for Isaac and Berthena VEATCH, Berthena was born somewhere in Iowa. Samuel Brownfield, whose name was Amy R. Jones. Samuel and she had three children by that time. I have met one of the descendants who lives in Anderson, IN.
