"1712, Oct. 6. Notification was given 'to Samuel Birchard of Coventry to appear at the next Court and take administration on the estate of Mary Johnson, widow, late of Coventry, deceased.' On Nov. 6, 1712, the Court appointed Daniel Rust and David Lee of Coventry, to take account of this estate.
1713, Jan. 3. The Court at Hartford, Conn., ordered the Clerk 'to cite a writ to the widow of Samuel Birchard late of Coventry deceased, that she appear before the Court of Probate to be held on the first Monday of February next, to take administration on the estate of said deceased or declare her refusal of that trust.'
