Notes for SAMUEL D. BAILEY: Letter from SD Bailey to Harrison Bailey(Wm.) on Sept 26, 1885 says that he is now a practicing Physician for 18 mos. Maggie has two nice little girls. Her husband Bill Straw runs a store in Curwinsville. Abram, his father has bought out Isaac Norris's farm, and Lewis is farming it. Lew is also going to school. Anny Bailey married Charley Boyd and will have a baby soon. Dorsey is still single and so is uncle Joe. (Joseph Bailey) Uncle Harrison has a mine in Colorado and he believes that he will get rich on it yet. Samuel says he is still single, but he is dating a girl that he thinks he will marry, but won't tell her name. His father Abram has 80 head of cattle. He is going to Colorado soon. He has a nice 4 year old horse that can trot at a pretty good gait. Told him to write and come to see them. This letter is one of 22 in a collection written in 1880's that are held by Terry Miller in Longmont Colo.
