Samuel followed his older brother, Luke, into the family firm Samuel which was started by his father s cousin [see Joseph Addington, 1750]. Samuel was retired from the woollen business in 1881 although it still carried his name [S. Addington and Co Ltd., 1836 - 1934]. Samuel was living at 105/6 St Martin's Lane, London. Sam was a juror at the Hyde Park Great Exhibition in 1851 and the Paris Exposition in 1855
