(Research):According to the Bouton-Boughton Family book, when Sally's father returned from the American Revolution, he could not afford to keep his family together so he found homes for some of his children where they could earn their support. Sallly and her older brother John lived with a Mr. John Edwards of Southbury, Connecticut until they were of age. At that time she returned to her parents' home.
