Ruth E 'Betty' Oldham Sept. 5, 1915 -- July 15, 2004 ------ Ruth E "Betty" Oldham, 88, of Fremont, died Thursday afternoon at St. Fran cis Health Care Centre, Green Springs. She was born in Fremont to the now-deceased Byron C and Ruth R (Overmye r) Burkett. Ruth graduated from Ross High School in 1933 and later marri ed LaFayette I Oldham on Nov. 22, 1945, he died Feb. 22, 2004. She was a homemaker and also worked as secretary for the Diels Insurance A gency, Helena, until retiring in 1978. Ruth was a former member of the Shi loh United Methodist Church in Helena, a current member of Rivers of Livi ng Water Church, Fremont, and a former member of Helena Firemen's Auxiliar y. Ruth is survived by daughters, Caroline (Don) Clink of Perrysburg and Jul ia (Harold "Butch") Schwert of Fremont; son, Larry (Kathy) Oldham of Patas kala OH; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two foster grandchild ren, three foster great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven st ep great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild; brothers, Bud a nd Richard (Janet) Burkett of Fremont; sisters, Genevieve (Charles) Hensl ey of Fremont, and Margaret (Homer) Brown and Patricia (Donald) Schanke, b oth of Naples, Fla. Ruth is preceded by her parents, husband, and sister s, Suzanne Burkett and Helen Creighton. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlove tz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Bishop Robert Jones offi ciating. Burial: Metzgar Cemetery, Helena.
