In Alfred, N. Y., March 19th, 1880, after a brief illness, Mr. Russell W. Burdick, in the 62d year of his age. Mr. Burdick took a cold, resulting in pleuro-pneumonia, which continued without and specially alarming symptoms until a few hours before his death. He was born on the farm where he died and where he spent nearly his whole life. He was the youngest of a family of eight children, all of whom, save one, have now passed away. The third son, Alexander, still lives, who must be about seventy years of age. The subject of this notice was a man of good judgment, and was a worthy citizen. He was a member of the Second Seventh-day Baptist Church. He has left a widow and seven children to mourn their loss. Of the children, two live in Cleveland, one in Boston, and the others on, or in the immediate vicinity of the old homestead. These all have the sympathy of the entire community in their sudden bereavement.
