ROY W YUTZY CUMBERLAND Roy Webster Yutzy, 85, of 1803 Holland St., Cumberland, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1916, in Madley, Pa., he was the son of the late Daniel Webster Yutzy and Ella Virginia (Coughenour) Yutzy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beaulah Olive (May) Yutzy, Nov. 1, 1996; one brother, Joseph C. Yutzy; and six sisters, Margaret Shroyer, Pearl Arnold, Lillian Engle, Bertha DeVore, Mary Yutzy, and Pauline McVicker. Mr. Yutzy was a retired electrician for the B&O Railroad and the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. He was also a retired President of KELCO Credit Union, a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, past member of Tall Cedars, Potomac Lodge 100 A.F. & A.M., Cumberlnd Scottish Rite Bodies, American Legion Post 13, Life Member of the Henry Hart Post 1411 VFW, Legion of Honor of the Shrine, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by one son, Gary Kent Yutzy and wife Sandy, Ligonier, Pa.; two daughters, Carolyn Jean Johnson and husband Dorsey, Westminster, and Yvonne Elaine Shumaker and husband Jim, Frostburg; five grandsons, Erik Dorsey Johnson and wife Cindy, Severna Park, Grant Christian Yutzy, Montgomery, Ala., Garrett Daniel Yutzy and wife Heidi, Latrobe, Pa., Gregory Daniel Shumaker and Timothy James Shumaker, Frostburg; one great-grandson, Gavin Johnson, Severna Park; three sisters, Marion Budnowski, Florida, Dorothy Papa, Hagerstown, and Barbara Trupp, Canada; and a special friend, Betty G. Wolford. Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 , Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen F. Yelovich and Rev. William Boyer officiating. Interment will be in the Madley Cemetery, Hyndman, Pa. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard. The Potomac Lodge 100 A.F. & A.M., will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. Friends will also be received at the St. Lukes Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m.
