Major Roy Pratt


Major Roy E. Pratt, 82, Port Lavaca, and formerly of Shell Knob, died Friday, March 1, 2002.


He was born March 8, 1919 in Grapevine, Texas, to Richard Bonapart and Martha Gardner Pratt.


He was a retired Major with the United Stares Air Force, serving as a pilot in World War II.


He married Laura Genevive Shipman on Sept. 27, 1942, in Sedalia. She preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 1995. He is also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.


Graveside services with military honors were at 10 a.m. today, at the Newtonia IOOF Cemetery, Newtonia.


Services under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
