The following obituary was found on Roy's Find-a-Grave memorial page: "Published by The Wellington Leader on November 12, 1970 A former county man, Roy E. Jackson, 61, of Lovington, N.M., died of a heart attack at his home Nov. 5. He had lived there 21 years. Mr. Jackson spent his childhood In Collingsworth County.

"Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Virgie Jackson; three daughters: Mrs. J. W. Hicks of Hobbs, N.M.; Mrs. Gene Thompson of Paris; and Miss Rae Dean Jackson of the home; two brothers: Floyd Jackson of Balmorrhea; and Lloyd Jackson of Little Rock, Ark.: a sister, Mrs. Ross Sutherland of Mesa, Ariz., and four grandchildren.

"Mrs. Jackson is a sister of Henry Langford and Bill Langford."
