    Mrs. Rowena B. Coleman, 95
    of Evanston, Illinois

    A memorial service for Rowena B. Coleman, 95, of Winnetka, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ Church, 784 Sheridan Rd., Winnetka. Mrs. Coleman died Monday in an Evanston nursing home. She graduated in 1914 from Columbia College, then called Columbia School of Dramatic Expression, with a degree in dramatics. A native of Vicksburg, Miss., she was the granddaughter of Gen. Edmund Kirby-Smith, the last Confederate commander to surrender during the Civil War. Her husband, the late William O. Coleman, was president of the American Flyer Co., a Chicago-based firm that manufactured toy trains. Mrs. Coleman was on the board of two charitable organizations, the Northwestern Settlement and Gads Hill. She is survived by a son, Randolph; a daughter, Kirby (Lynwood) Brown, and was preceded in death by a son, William Ogden Coleman lll and John Coleman; and grandson, Randolph Coleman, Jr; and is survived by ten other grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
