- ↑ "A Sensational Suit - a most sensational suit has been entered in CommonPleas Court by Henry Gieseck, against Ross Robinet, for $5,000 damages.The particulars as set forth in the suit are disgusting. Gieseck, who isa prominent and respected farmer, swears that Robinet has circulated areport that he (Gieseck) is a victim of a loathsome venereal disease,and further said that he contracted said disease for the object ofgetting rid of his wife. The plaintiff further alleges that he has hadup to that time always been respected by his neighbors, and had had agood name in the community in which he has resided, and says furtherthat by Robinet's circulation of the terrible report he has been damagedin the sum of $5,000."
