ALLEY, ROSE MARIE

Rose Marie Niswander Alley, 84, of S Countyline St, Fostoria, died at 8: 15 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2001, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toled o.

She was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Coldwater MI, to Fred and Edith (Moon) Shum an. On April 7, 1933, in Fostoria, she married Cloyd Niswander. He died No v. 25, 1965. On Aug. 9, 1969, in Fostoria, she married Ralph "Peck" Alle y, and he survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Irvan "Bud", Doug and Jerry Niswande r, all of Fostoria; a step-son, Gerald Alley of Ontario, Canada; a brothe r, Fred Shuman, of Crossville, Tenn, three sisters, Freda Brooks and Thel ma Stiger, both of Fostoria, and Arlene Cooper of Bascom; 15 grandchildr en and 25 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are: a son, Michael Niswander; a step-son, Michael Alley; two bro thers, Richard and Walter Shuman; a sister, Doris Seel, and one grandchild .

Mrs. Alley, a homemaker, retired in 1976 from Bendix, and was a memb er of the Fostoria Baptist Church in Fostoria.

Services will take place at 11 a.m, Thursday, at the Harrold-Floriana Fune ral Home in Fostoria, with the Rev. David Chapman officiating. Burial wi ll be in the Fountain Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Fostoria Red C ross.
