Franklin is buried in a cemetery south of Whitehall that held about a dozen graves at that time. He was born prematurely after Rose was kicked by a horse. In the summer, John ran a store while grandpa worked both farms. After the fire, both employed by Covell and Staples Mill in Whitehall.
