I saw the photo of George Mock and Rose Bredl on the Western PA Old Photos site. I have a Rosa Bredl from Pittsburgh in my family tree and was wondering if this could be the same person. The date on the photo is 1918 and looks like a wedding picture, yet your message says they were married in 1900. My Rosa Bredl was born in March 1900 and would have been 18 in April 1918. Rosa's parents were John and Barbara Bredl. Could this be the same person?

Thanks,

Shaun

Hi Shaun!

Yes, they are one and the same! The wedding picture is supposed to be 1918. My grandmother Rose was born March 30, 1900! How cool! I haven't been too successful in researching her parents John and Barbara since they immigrated from Bavaria in the late 1800's. How does she fit into your tree? Rose died in Pittsburgh in 1998; 98 years old! She was a wonderful woman! So glad you saw the pic, I will be sure to fix the date on that wedding picture. Please write soon.
