Facts and Events
Maintained a neat herd in Salem 1636-1641. Between 1636 and 1638, he received several land grants in that town, including 40 acres in the initial grant in 1636. About 1652, he moved to Providence, where he kept an inn by 1655. He served as constable in 1655 and later in life was frequently a juror. He was involved in multiple land transactions in Providence during the 1550s and 60s, but he eventually died insolvant.
