Facts and Events
Probably a confusion with Rocittee, who is also born on 18 Nov. Living in Ferrisburg, Addison, Vermont from 1790 to 1810 (census records). The family moved first to Lorain County, Ohio, where Martin died in 1814. Son Martin Jr and most or all the remaining family moved on to St. Joseph County, Michigan. Rosetta died there, in the town of Colon, in 1832. Rosetta's family was said to have moved on to Vermont in 1769, but there is no documentation proving the date this happened. Some sources give Rutland, Vermont as Rosetta's birthplace and others give Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut. A child named Rocittee was born to Benedict and Rebecca in 1765. Rosetta and Rocittee are thought to be the same person: References
