Facts and Events
Robert E. Jackson of Seal Beach, Orange County, California has researched Jeremiah Josiah's family and has developed this theory about Jeremiah Josiah's ancestors:
The marriage of Robinson (Robeson/Robertson) Fain has not been proved after running into a dead end searching for Jeremiah Fain's father.
John N. Fain (first cousin to Jeremiah) is a descendant of Reubin. Robeson is that only possible candidate, being the son of Reuben and Esabella Taggett.
Mr. Jackson found Robeson Fane in Cedar Township, Boone County, Missouri in 1830 with a wife and two boys. The ages fit.
In 1840 he found Robinson Fane in the same township and county.
In 1841 Robinson Fain acquired a land patent in Boone County, Missouri. When he disposed of the land is uncertain.
He is not found again in Boone County, Missouri.
Another note is that Jeramiah's son, Joel Frankin Fain, named one of his sons James Robinson Fain.
Robert E. Jackson therefore concluded that Robinson Fain was the husband of Elizabeth Fane and will assume this unless further research proves otherwise.
