Identity & Marriages

The genealogical record of Robert Wilson d. 1681 is confused with that of his son's and other Wilsons in the colonies at that time. Torrey's lists five Robert Wilsons (3 of Salem, 1 of Windsor, CT, another from Cambridge/Sudbury). For Robert Wilson ( - 1681), it provides one wife, Anna/Ann Trask (1654- ). However, the probate record clearly indicates Robert (d. 1681) had two wives and at least six children (2 of 1st wife - who are due from the estate of Tamsen Buffum; and 4 of wife Ann).
