Came to America about 1735, locating at first in the "Irish Settlement," Northampton Co, PA, where he married and subsequently removed to Hanover Twp, Dauphin Co.

He came to America about 1735, locating on the Swatara, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He served as coroner of Lancaster county from October 4, 1746 to October 8, 1749. He m., circa 1740, Mary Clyde, of the "Irish Settlement," b. 1721; d. April 12, 1784.
