Overview

Robert Walker was born in 1777 in Caswell, North Carolina to James and Isabella Walker[1]. He married Mary Ragsdale[2] from Laurens County, South Carolina. Given that his brother Daniel Walker lived in Laurens County, it is likely Robert spent a brief time there as well. Robert may have migrated along with Daniel; some of Robert's younger children state a birthplace of Missouri. Daniel spent time in Kentucky but eventually settled in Missouri. Robert, for reasons not fully known, settled back in Kentucky by 1816.[3][4][5][6][7]
