Last Will and Testament of Robert Parker, found in Hants County Probate Records, Nova Scotia: In the Name of God Amen the eighteen Day of April 1761 I Robert Parker of Cornwallis in Kings County Nova Scotia being in perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God therefore, calling to mind the Mortality of my body, that it is appointed for Man once to dye being of a disposing mind, do make and ordain this my last will and testement that is to say Principly and first of all I recommend my soul into the Hands of God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in Decent Cristian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall receive the same again by the Mighty Power of God. And as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath Pleased God to bless me with in this life I give bequeath and dispose of the same in the following manner and form imp remis, I constitute make and ordain my well beloved son Elisha Parker of Cornwallis aforesaid to be my sole Executor of this my last will and Testement I also ordain my lawfull debts to be first paid out of my estate by him, and the rest of my Estate I Dispose of as follows Item I give to my Dearly beloved wife Abigail my household goods and a comfortable maintainence to be administered to her out of my estate by my executor so long as she remains my widow Item I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Daniel Ten Shillings in money of the currencey of this Colony to be Paid by my Executor within five year from the date above written Item I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Elisha all my land and stock and farming impliments that I own in Cornwallis excepting what is hereafter given to the rest of my children and also all the money that I have due to me Item I Give and bequeath to my well beloved Daughters Elizabeth and Thankful one hundred acres of land out of my Right of Land in Cornwallis to be laid or ordered to ? after the first division equal in quality with the undivided Land that remains After the four Division Aforesaid and I order my son Elisha to Provide for them a comfortable House Room ? so long as they live and I order my executor to Pay to them two cows and ten sheep at the end of three years after the Day of the Date above written Item I give to my daughter Sarah a comfortable maintainence to administered to her by my executor so long as she lives I also ordain my two daughters Elizabeth and Thankful to be Sarah's Guardian and to take the care and trouble of her so long as she lives in Regard whereof I gave them the stock before mentioned to them.
