Robert, like his father, was a tanner. During King Phillip's War he served under Captain William Turner at the Falls Fight. He is shown on a 26 January 1676/7 list of people that contributed to the costs of the war; contributing 5 pounds, 17 shillings and 6 pence -- see Early Rehoboth, page 42. His will was proved 29 March 1699.
