Facts and Events
Source:Library of Cape Cod history genealogy, "The Yarmouth Families of Eldredge", by Amos Otis, p. 752 Robert, May 25, 1639, is named as a kind servant of Captain Nicholas Sympkins, who at that date assigned his services to Mr. Thomas Prence for the term of three years from the following July. As seven years was the usual term of apprencticeship, the above facts indicate that Robert came over in 1635. In 1643 he was of Plymouth, and soon after removed to Yarmouth. The last week in October, 1649, he married Elizabeth, daughter of William Nickerson of Yarmouth. She was born in Old Norwich, England and came over with her parents and grandparents in 1637. He probably resided in Yarmouth till about the year 1663, when he removed with his father-in-law to Chatham. He died in 1683, and his widow and his son Nicholas administered on his estate. Children born in Yarmouth: Nicholas m. Elizabeth ----; Mary. References
