INFORMATION TAKEN FROM THE TEXAS DEATH CERTIFICATE Robert Curren Bassel, retired farmer, formerly of Gould, Harmon County, Oklahoma, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Wellington, Collingsworth, Texas, from a cerebral hemorrhage, on January 16, 1963. He had been in the hospital for about 2 1/3 years. Robert was 85 years old at the time of his death. His wife (name not given) preceded him in death. He was born April 11, 1877 in Bell County, Texas, to (unknown) Bassel and Sarah Elizabeth Russell. Carnie Bassel of Gould, Rt. 3, Oklahoma, provided the information. Tims Mortuary handled the funeral arrangements. Burial was January 16, 1963 in the Clarendon, Texas Cemetery.
