He lived in Boston after his arrival in 1670. Was sent to the Connecticut River with dispatches for the troops fighting the Indians there. He remained and was living in Hatfield in 1676. Took oath of allegiance in Hatfield 8 Feb 1678. Was a hatter and made wool hats of wide repute.
