Richard Williams family came to America from Wales in 1685

Richard and Prudence Beales Williams lived in Guilford Co., NC. At the e nd of the Revolutionary War, a battle was fought at the Guilford County Co urth House. The British Officers at the battle were quartered at the Will iams home and Richard contracted small pox from one of them and died fr om this on may 6, 1781.
