Richard Seaman's grandfather, Richard Jackson, Sr. left a will dated Feb 28, 1770 and proved Mar 10, 1784 (a 14yr span if transcribed correctly). It names wife Jane, sons Richard and Jacob, grandsons Richard Jackson Seaman, son of his daughter Jane. and Micah Jackson, son of said son Richard, and granddaughter Charity, daughter of his daughter Mary. In a codicil dated Feb 10, 1783 he names grandson Jacob Jackson Seaman, son of his daughter Jane.

This does raise a bit of conflict with the date of his parent's marriage. I do not now recall where I got this information about the will and have not seen it to prove the above dates are transcribed correctly. For the sake of searches, I will estimate Richard's date of birth to be about 1769 based on his being named in his Grandather's Feb 1770 will. An alternate birth date based on his parent's marriage date could be about 1772.
