    Richard (Scott), b. (Hatfield) Feb. 22, 1673. … Richard Scott removed from Hatfield to Sunderland soon after 1715, and was one of the original settlers there. He was a prominent man in town and was repeatedly chosen one of the selectmen. He died in Sunderland Mar. 31, 1750. … It is said there are no lineal descendants in the town at the present time.
