Richard Mallinson (Thomas), born probably as early as 1580, was buried at Bradford 14 May 1638. … Richard Mallinson's will is of particular interest in its specific bequest to "Joseph Jowett whoe marryed Marye my daughter" and in the bequest "unto Sara daughter of the sayd Marye." which confirms the fact shown by the parish register that this small granddaughter was the only child in the family of Joseph Jowett at the date of the will, and calls attention to the inaccuracy of the American accounts which have always placed Jeremiah as the eldest child of Joseph Jewett.
