Richard1 Longhorne married 16 : 11 mo. (Jan.), 1647, Mary, daughter of Widow Constance Crosby. She was buried 29 Nov. 1667. He was about forty-five years old, 25 Mar. 1662 (Ct. Files, 7:82). He died in Haverhill while there on business, 12 : 12 mo. (Feb.) 1668. His will, dated 10 Feb., 1668, mentions brother, Thomas Longhorne of Cambridge, and daughter Elizabeth to be executors; three other daughters (unnamed); Samuel Wood, "my servant," son of Obadiah Wood; brother John Johnson; John Pickard and James Bailey to be overseers. In an affidavit on file with the will, mention is made of children being with their grandmother and two aunts. 4 Sept., 1695, Abraham Haseltine and Elizabeth, his wife, Widow Constance More, Benjamin Muzzey and Sarah, his wife, daughters and co-heirs of Richard Longhorne, late of Rowley, deceased, plaintiffs, bring an action for possession of land in Boxford (Essex Co. Ct. R.).
