... Richard Hall, born in Ireland, emigrated to Virginia. He served in Virginia in 1751 in the French and Indiana War and in 1771 in the Militia in North Carolina. He is said to have had eleven children, but the record preserved in the family Bible of one descendant gives the names of four children only. They were:

- John Hall and
- Sarah Hall.
