Facts and Events
Richard Gale of Canterbury conveyed land to John and Joshua Gale of Watertown in 1722. (Gale Family Records, p. 41. Richard's brothers John and Joshua were co-executors of their father's will dated 3 Sep 1718, proved 22 Sep 1718.) Also, citing Source:History of Norwich, Connecticut : from its possession by the Indians to the year 1866, the work above also notes that a Jonathan Gale of Canterbury was killed while building a bridge in 1728. This Jonathan, who appears to match the son of Richard and Sarah Gale b. 26 Nov 1708, is described as 19 and "the only son of a widowed mother". This implies that Richard died before 1728? References
