Richard was is the Navy for 6 months and in the reserves for 8 years.
He graduated from Purdue University in 1956 with a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering.
He was a registered Professional Engineer in the state of MI.
Richard "Dick" worked as an engineer at Ford Motor CO for close to 35 years.
The last 13 years, he was the Vehicle Resident Engineer at the Lora in Assembly plant in Lorain OH, retiring there January 1, 1995.
He passed away June 11, 1999 at the age of 66 years.
His body was cremated and the ashes were spread in both Taylor River canyon, CO and at the Beaver Creek Club in Amherst OH.
A memorial plaque at the club is posted on the rifle range in his honor as he was a member for over 25 years.
Organizations include the Society of Automotive Engineer, the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, the Beaver Creek Club (for bird hunting), and the National Rifle Association.
