Last week we announced the death of George Hovey, father of Mrs M. A. Low, aged 79 years, who was buried in the Masonic graveyard on the 9th Inst. This week it becomes our duty to chronicle the death of his aged companion, Rhoda Hovey, aged 76 years, who died early on the morning of the 16th and was on the following day laid in a grave beside her husband. Mrs Hovey survived her husvand only eight days and during that time was never conscious of his death. They had both been at Mr Low's in a very helpless condition for some months. It seldom occurs, but it is a happy thought to think of a couple living together happily as they no doubt did, until such ripe old age raising a family and then passing away so nearly the same time. Assuming that there is a future, it would seem that it was the will of a supreme Ruler of the Universe that they would not be separated and that they are gone to be united in a future world. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Parker of the ME Church, of which she and her husband had long been members. This is from a newspaper clipping with no date nor of place of origin.
