On the 7th inst., Reuben Monroe, of Alfred, in the 48th year of his age. His death was caused by an accidental fall from a load of lumber, the wheels of the loaded wagon passing over and dreadfully mangling his body. He survived only a few hours. A wife, five children, and a large family connection mourn their unexpected loss.
