Obituary for Renzy Lee Cartwright: Renzy Lee cartwright Renzy Lee Cartwright, 103, of Booneville, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Ripley after an extended illness. Services were Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Cartwright and Bro. Scottie Downs officiating. Burial was in Jumpertown Cemetery. Mr. Cartwright was a World War I Army veteran and a retired farmer. He was proceded in death by his wife, Mary K. Cartwright and two sons, Roy Lee Cartwright and Robert Cartwright. He is survived by five daughters, Maxine Davis, Ethel Horton, Modean Stroupe and Genell Windham of Jumpertown and Emma Holland of Booneville; three sons, Hershel Cartwright and Leonard Cartwright of Booneville and John Cartwright of Corinth; 39 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and a host of greatgreat- grandchildren.

Vera Maxine Cartwright Davis, 79, died November 8, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. She was a homemaker and her church affiliation was Holiness. She was born June 18, 1931 to the late Renzy Lee and Mary Maude "Knight" Cartwright. In 1947 she married Randle Davis, who died in 1974 and in 1975 she married Troy "Hook" Davis, who died in 2008. She is survived by her only son Roger Dale Davis; her four grandchildren; Billy Dale (Shelly) Davis, Kathy (Bengy) Yates, Patricia Fugitt and Melissa (Stevie) Allen all of Booneville. 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; her sisters, Modina... She is survived by her only son Roger Dale Davis; her four grandchildren; Billy Dale (Shelly) Davis, Kathy (Bengy) Yates, Patricia Fugitt and Melissa (Stevie) Allen all of Booneville. 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; her sisters, Modina Stroupe, Emma Holland and Genell Windham, one brother , Herschel Cartwright, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Cartwright, John Bell Cartwright, Roy Lee Cartwright, Leonard Cartwright and one sister Ethel Baggett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Dale Davis and Bro. Scotty Downs officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Monday, November 9, 2010 and until service time on Wednesday.

Hershel Cartwright

BOONEVILLE - Hershel H. Cartwright, 86, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1925, to Renzy Lee and Mary Knight Cartwright. He was retired from Deviney Construction.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Boxx and Bro. Jackie Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter, Anesia (Jimmy) Stevens of Booneville; three sons, Wade Cartwright, Floyd (Ann) Cartwright and Tommy (Becky) Cartwright, all of Booneville; three sisters, Modine Stroup, Emma Holland and Janell Windham, all of Booneville; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha McAnally Cartwright; his parents; two sisters; four brothers; one grandson, Danny Cartwright; and two daughters-in-law, Betty Cartwright and Elizabeth Cartwright.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Cartwright, Terry Cartwright, Casey Cartwright, Tyler Cartwright, Ray Joyner and Jamie Gray.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and until service time on Monday.

Ethel Horton JUMPERTOWN - Ethel Horton, 76, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at her home. She was of the Holiness faith and attended Blackland Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed listening to preaching and gospel music, and spending time with her family and friends. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel in Booneville with Bro. Donny Cartwright and Bro. Scotty Downs officiating. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include four daughters, Kara Nell Michaels and her husband, Bud, and Machelle Brumley and her husband, Brian, all of Jumpertown Ann Settlemires and her husband, Charles, of Rienzi, and Judy Smith and her husband, Gary, of Booneville; two sons, Randolph Horton and his wife, Phyllis, of Jumpertown, and Havis Horton and his wife, Brenda, of Rienzi; four sisters, Modean Stroupe, Maxine Davis and her husband, Troy, and Genell Windham and her husband, Matthew, all of Jumpertown, and Emma Holland of Booneville; three brothers, Herschel Cartwright and his wife, Bertha, of Booneville, Leonard Cartwright of Blackland community and John Bell Cartwright of Corinth; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Horton; her parents, Renzy Lee and Mary Knight Cartwright; two brothers, Roy Lee Cartwright and Robert Cartwright; and a grandchild, Sheila Horton. Her nephews will be pallbearers. Her grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.
