Case 15164: Relief Packard No. Bridgewater 1843.

Single Woman", dated 19 Nov 1836, proved 7 Nov 1843, names daughter in law Hannah Packard the wife of Jacob Packard Deceased; daughter Vesta packard; granddaughter Abigail Curtis; grandson Jesse Packard 2nd; grandson Ansel Packard; son Jesse Packard. Son Jesse Packard to be executor.
2 Oct 1843: Assent of heirs, signed by Vasti Packard, Ansel Packard, Wid. Hannah Packard, Abigail K Curtis, Jesse Packard 2d.

  4. Source:Kingman, Bradford. History of North Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts,, p. 597, says "The wife [i.e., Relief] died ---. He [i.e., Oliver] then married [first child b. 1801] Amy, daughter of John Hawes, of Stoughton." The 2nd marriage appears to have occurred as Relief's son Jesse names sons of Amy as his brothers in his will, but Relief was alive when her father died in 1810 and she declined administration, and didn't die until 1843, leaving a will as a "single woman" naming her children. So there must have been a divorce.
