Deed from "Ralph Josselin senior of Roxwell in Co. Essex" [Thomas' father] et al., "after the decease of me ... to ... Thomas Josselin[,] one of the sons of me the aforesaid Ralph Josselin the elder, and Rebecca Jude ... after the decease of the said Thomas and Rebecca ... to the use of the heirs of the bodies of the same Thomas and Rebecca ...". This deed gives the maiden name of Thomas's wife. Other evidence given shows Thomas, the son of Ralph, is the emigrant Thomas.
[Note: this article reasonably infers a marriage based on a strange indenture executed when both parties were not married. But it should be noted that there is no actual proof of marriage, nor are the parents of Rebecca identified to confirm her maiden name. Nor does the article appear to document the disposal of this property.]

Thomas Josselyn, aged 43, brought over in 1635 wife Rebecca, aged 43, and 5 children. Widow Rebecca was executrix of his will, married 16th of 3d month, 1664 to William Kerley.

Thomas Josselyn m. abt. 1615 Rebecca ---, who survived him, and m. (2) Lancaster 16 May 1664 William Kerley of Lancaster. She is not mentioned in his will dated 26 Jul 1669, proved 19 Jul 1670.
