[p. 93] 1682. Rebeckah Mixer the wife of Isaack Mixer dyed the 16 day of March.
[Note: Whether this is 1681/82 or 1682/83 is far from clear, though it seems more likely 1681/82. Two pages, p. 93 and p. 94, in the original records are devoted to 1682. The records are in the order recorded, which is not strictly chronological, but ends up being somewhat so. Since this record is found on the first of the two pages, this would suggest it is a late record from 1681/82, and not from 1682/83 - the 1682/83 records likely to end up on the second page. Rebecca's husband did not remarry until 1687, which offers no clue. The births of the children are consistently separated by 18 months or thereabouts (i.e., less than two full years), which would suggest a birth as early as Mar 1681/82 should follow Dorothy's known birth, and as the birth of David is not recorded, and we might speculate the mother's death may be connected with that. On the other hand, David died Aug 1683, which doesn't mandate anything, but might favor an interpretation of 1682/83, assuming he was more likely to die very young, having no mother. Secondary literature seems to mostly say 1682/83, probably copying Bond, but no actual evidence to support this has been seen. Anderson, as is customary, doesn't provide death dates for children of his subjects, so that valuable opinion is not given.]
