He was born nearMyersville, a son of the late Charles U. and Martha LeathermanGrossnickle. He was a member of Grossnickle Church of the Brethren,Myersville. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Baker Grossnickle; one son,Eugene B. Grossnickle, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Ruth, both ofHagerstown; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother,Paul Grossnickle, Myersville; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Bittle, Mrs.Nellie Doub and Mrs. Gorman Smith, all of near Myersville. Services willbe held at the Bittle funeral home, Myersville at 2 PM Tuesday, April11. The Rev. C. Basle Grossnickle and the Rev. Ronald Beverlin willofficiate. Interment will be in United Methodist Cemetery, Myersville.Friends may call from 7-9 PM Monday at the funeral home."
