Ralphine A. Dick

Star Beacon GENEVA — Ralphine A. Maynard Dick, age 92, a resident of Geneva and formerly of Madison, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.

She was born September 19, 1918, in Parkman, Ohio, to Myla (Harris) and John Maynard. She graduated from Chardon High School and Huron Road School of Nursing and served as a Nurse in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the European Theatre. Ralphine married Floyd Dick on June 14, 1952.

She was a homemaker and was active in the Progress Club in Madison and also a Leader in the Campfire Girls.

She was active with Park Methodist Church in Madison and recently she had been a member of Geneva First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Barb (Smitty) Smith of Geneva, Carol (Bill) Laub of Medina and Diane (Rick) Ware of Frametown, W.Va.; and grandchildren, Katy, Michael, Sarah, Lisa, Andrew, Wesley, Kyle, Molly, Kassie and Emily.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Dick, MD in 2004; her parents; a grandson, Tyler Scott Ware; and seven brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4th, at Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio, with a Funeral Service to follow at 7 p.m.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
