Ralph B. Lehman of West Toledo, passed away on September 8, 2005. He passed quickly and quietly, but with grace, love, and support of his family. He was born on March 7, 1909, the eldest of 7 children of Harry and Estella Lehman, of Scott Twp Sandusky CO. He was employed for more than 36 years at the Pure Oil Toledo Refinery and the Union Oil Chicago Refinery. He is a member of St. Pius X Church. He was a long time blood donor and supporter of Red Cross blood drives. His family affectionately referred to him as an "inventor" as a result of the numerous innovations he designed and installed in his home and elsewhere. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Snyder) Lehman; daughter, Alice L. (Chris) Beins of Toledo; sons, Franklin (Elizabeth) of Orange Beach, AL, and Kenneth (Linda) of Munroe Falls; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rose Cox, Ruth Carper, Esther Siegenthaler, Hazel Sherrard, Glenn, and Willis. Visitation will be Wednesday at St. Pius X Church, 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with graveside services and burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. Those wishing to give memorials, in lieu of flowers, are asked to make them to St. Pius X Endowment Fund or to Hospice of Northwest OH. The Coyle Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
