Ralph Dundas was born on 22 October 1843.1 He was the son of John Dundas and Jemima Christian Macdowall.2 He married Emily Bridget Robertson, daughter of Robert Robertson of Auchleeks and Emily Cay, on 30 March 1869.1 He died on 8 October 1911 at age 67.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.).1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1
