Priscilla moved to the Blue River settlement of Friends in 1814 after her first husband, Jabez Hunt, died in North Carolina. She lived on land purchased for her by her father Matthew Coffin (Spring Hill Farm). She was one of the first members of the Blue River Church. She was very gifted in gospel ministry and traveled throughout the country preaching. By the time she was 37, she had visited every Friends meeting in America.(1823). She was known to have a beautiful character and was well educated. She was very active in the work of the Friends between 1829 and 1853. In 1843, she deeded the farm to her son-in-law, Toms Nixon.
