  4. Allred, p. 18, thinks the daughter of Jonas & Mehitable Ball is who married Cummings Lesure. But the age at death is 6 years too young to match, and Allred's choice would be 5 years older than her husband. Nothing specific has been located to confirm or deny this assertion, so possibly Allred is correct, but only the name of the woman, a common one at that, supports this scenario. The 1810 census would distinguish between births in 1783 and 1789 (one under 26, the other over 26), but the marriage did not occur until 1811. 1830 would also work (over 45 and under 45), but Polly died in 1826. There appears to be no probate for the father, and his death in 1803 would precede the marriage. Polly participates in a couple of deeds with her husband, but none appear to give any clues as to her parents.
